Betrayal

The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini: Amir betrays his friend and servant two times. Once he fails to save Hassan from Assef's brutal assault, and then he frames Hassan by placing a watch and money under Hassan's mattress in the servants' shack where Hassan lives with his father Ali. Explain why one of the betrayals is a greater betrayal of Hassan.

  3. I believe that the second betrayal between amir and hassan is the worst. The first one in the alley was preventable, but it was already happening. The second betrayal was worse because Amir planned it out. He brought it upon himself for getting Hassan and Ali to leave.

Amir wasn't happy with hassan for the last little while because hassan wouldnt stand up to him. When Amir planted the watch and the cash under his blanket and then told his father that the watch had gone missing. Baba found out that Hassan must have stolen that stuff, so Baba confronts both Hassan and Ali about it. To Amir's surprise, when Baba asked Hassan if he took the stuff, Hassan said yes. I think this is the biggest betrayal because it was totally preventable.
